Treatment access in Croatia
The following summarises available information on access to healthcare for people living with HIV in Croatia. There is no evidence that non-nationals are restricted from accessing treatment in the same way as nationals.
For people with health insurance, treatment of HIV infection is completely free (treatment related to HIV infection does not require additional health insurance or participation).
For people who do not have health insurance, contact Dr Fran University Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Reference center for diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection, in Zagreb. Their social worker can give provide information on how to arrange it (Kristina Duvančić, phone: 01/2826 147).
